Penker Kircherl What is this?
The Church of Penk was built before the twelfth century in the Lower Naabtal at Regensburg. The church quickly became known as the little church and a landmark of the region. Their appearance with the massive stone walls and loopholes in the tower is more like a castle than a church. This is due to the fact that it offered in hard times as a fortified church an important shelter for the population.
